Painting this scene allowed me to escape back to this moment everytime I stepped up to the easel. I remember stumbling around Hirtle’s Beach Nova Scotia, that led us to this boardwalk. Such a tranquil place, inviting us to see what lies around the bend. Hirtle’s Beach was stunning, walked the beach for hours, dipping in the ice cold waters of the North Atlantic, Denise lost in collected rocks while we talk and Ciara soaked in the sun laying on the beach.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen we packed up and cleaned the sand out of everywhere, It’s the first time in years I felt like painting again so I took this photo before reaching the parking lot. It reminds me how differently your perspective can change, when you start down a path expecting to see a beach but you leave knowing you want to become a landscape painter.
