Shipping policy

At Paintings by Mike, every artwork—whether an original or a fine art reproduction—is handled with the utmost care to ensure it arrives safely and in perfect condition.

Order Processing

  • Original Paintings: Packaged and prepared for shipment within 5–7 business days.
  • Prints & Canvas Wraps: Custom-printed to order and shipped within 7–10 business days.
  • Orders are processed Monday–Friday, excluding holidays.

Packaging & Handling

  • Original Paintings are professionally wrapped, reinforced, and shipped in rigid art-safe packaging.

  • Archival Paper Prints are shipped flat or in protective art tubes depending on size.

  • Canvas Wraps are gallery-wrapped and boxed with corner protectors.

  • All shipments are fully insured.

Shipping Rates & Methods

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination, size, and weight.

  • We partner with trusted carriers to ensure safe, timely delivery.

  • Local pickup is available by arrangement (Nova Scotia).

International Shipping

  • We ship worldwide. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

  • Delivery times vary depending on destination and customs clearance.

Delivery Times

  • Canada: 5–10 business days after dispatch.

  • USA: 7–14 business days after dispatch.

  • International: 10–21 business days after dispatch.

Damages & Claims

If your artwork arrives damaged:

  1. Email mike@paintingsbymike.ca within 48 hours of delivery.

  2. Include your order number, photos of the packaging, and photos of the damage.

  3. We will work with you to replace or repair the item, or issue a refund where applicable.

Additional Notes

  • Because each print is made to order, all sales are final unless damaged in transit.

  • Originals are one-of-a-kind and cannot be replaced, but we will work with you on insurance claims in the event of loss or damage.
