Winter Path was inspired by a winter photograph I took while testing a Fuji X-T5. What drew me in was the simple, quiet composition: trees naturally framing the path, long shadows stretching across the snow, and subtle shifts in light that guide the eye through the scene.

Painting this piece allowed me to study the landscape more closely than a quick glance ever could. The shapes of the trees, the cool blues in the snow, and the gentle play of light gradually revealed a sense of familiarity — as if I had spent far more time in the place than I actually had.

This painting reflects that quiet, immersive experience — the stillness of winter, the rhythm of the path, and the gentle clarity that comes from truly observing a place.
