I came across this old abandoned barn just driving around and couldn’t pass it up. It was quiet, wide open, and the kind of place that just lets you paint.

I set up right there in the gravel and spent the day working on this while listening to the Blue Jays’ first game of their 2025 playoff run. Funny mix—an old place that’s seen its time, with something new and exciting happening in the background.

A lot happened that day, and this painting kind of holds all of it.

In the rare event that your artwork is damaged in transit, please contact mike@paintingsbymike.ca within 48 hours of delivery with your order details and clear photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement for prints or work with shipping insurance for originals.
