Peter's Place

This 14" x 11" original oil painting captures a quiet farm on a cold, grey day, viewed from the side of the road. Cows move slowly through the pasture, grazing and wandering against a landscape that reflects the stillness of the moment. Pops of warmer fall colours and soft edges convey the chill in the air and the calm rhythm of rural life.

Painted on location, this piece carries a personal story. While working roadside, the farmer, Peter, stopped to check in, curious about what I was doing. After a short conversation, he kindly invited me to return and paint from within the farm—away from passing cars. That moment of connection is part of what makes this painting more than just a scene; it’s a reflection of place, people, and the experience behind the work.

All shipments are fully insured, tracked worldwide, and handled with the utmost care, with local pickup available in Nova Scotia.

Because each piece is created or printed to order, all sales are final. Original paintings, prints, and canvas wraps cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective. In the rare event that your artwork is damaged in transit, please contact mike@paintingsbymike.ca within 48 hours of delivery with your order details and clear photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement for prints or work with shipping insurance for originals.
